Keyboard problem...

Right, basically when I first boot my PC and it’s cold my keyboard (Ducky Shine 3) goes absolutely mental. The majority of the keys don’t work and then all of a sudden it will repeat a load of characters. It’s really annoying. I find it happens most on certain USB ports (weird?). If I switch it to a different USB port it usually works okish and only does it now and again.

Is this a fault with the keyboard itself or something like the motherboard?

I remember my mouse playing up similar in the past that sorted itself out...

I would update the firmware on the keyboard if it is not already the latest.

I would also put it in a USB2 port in case it is in a USB3.

Also, if it is happening to the mouse also, may be worth checking the USB drivers you have for your motherboard, might be worth updating the chipset driver.

Knakard keyboard in the end. Tried it on a different PC and was the same. Updated firmware etc, but in the end it just died. Bit gutted for a £140 keyboard to die after 2 years but never mind.

I've dug out an old non-mechanical (ewww!) to use until the Ducky Shine 5's are in stock. Which might be a while in the end...

Was gonna say RMA it but read up and Ducky offer 1 year warranty only, thats bad. Will be staying clear of that brand. Even the K95 from corsair has 2 years that I just got.
