Keyboard repeat rate and GTX 470

My keyboard repeat rate is making it so games aren't smooth...

I've posted a video on youtube showing you:

Basically the higher the keyboard repeat rate, the more stuttery my games when using the keyboard. Setting the repeat rate to a minimum helps but doesnt relieve the problem. I have tried a different 470, different keyboards in different sockets and all the drivers compatible with the 400 series cards.

Anyone know what I should do? :(
I have posted this in the windows software forum too because I didn't know which place to put it...

I had framerate issues with a couple of games on Vista and the simplest way to get it played at decent resolution was to use XP if either Vista/W7 didn't help. Otherwise you need to try a basic keyboard as its an issue with the USB resource management which doesn't affect everyone.

- Firstly, update your mouse and keyboard software drivers and restart your PC. Try your test again.
- It could also point to your motherboard so update relevant drivers, this may not even work if its down to the chipset.
- *Finally this will see if its your keyboard/mouse.... Go to Device Manager > Keyboards : Where it says HID Keyboards, uninstall each one until you find the one with the issue and don't restart. If that didn't work, then try Device Manager > Keyboards : and do the same with the HID devices.
*This method just disables the special USB keys/buttons and turns it into a regular device. If you want it installed again, your OS should look for new drivers on restart, otherwise unplug the keyboard/mouse and install the drivers for them.

I've tried the bottom 2 & there's no software to update my mouse & keyboard to. They're both standard (well, logitech but using standard drivers, i've tried others too). Would re-installing windows sort it if its an issue with USB resource management?

It didnt happen on my old 275, only the 470...

Found the problem.
Was an old key logger I had so I could check what my little daughters cousins got up to when they stayed as one of them (the 11 year old) was on the computer a lot. I had forgotten it was even on here till someone in another forum mentioned it could be a keylogger or trojan. :)

Your first post pointed was well detailed and it pointed towards an issue with the keyboard as it delayed your framerate -hence the keylogger. I have a Logitech G15 + G9 and understood your issue well as I sometimes use Trainers which use keyloggers legit. It helped you tried your own diagnostics and you nearly solved it yourself :)

Just to be sure your PC is clean (even though you put the logger there), you should run an Anti-Virus Full Scan on all drives, and check for Spyware with these type of apps: Spybot - Search & Destroy, Spyware Terminator, or HijackThis which are all free and easy to use.
