Keyboard upgrade!

Looked at k boards no info next to item so had to dig around to find myself all seemed reds which now think i'd prefer browns if have more feeling!
Did find a Logitech prob next one down from G810? said romer they didn't seem to bad.
MX Red is the most commonly used switch, because of it being light.
With few tries it's easy to tell it apart from Black which has similar linear "feel" but needs clearly more force to keep depressed...
You just can't tell their actuation point from feel when pressing key down slowly.

After short initial travel Brown and Romer-G have some resistance before again moving down with lower force.
Their actuation point is after that higher force/resistance point.

Rarely used MX Retro alias Blue you can again tell already from sound.
Anykind faster typing makes it keep old mechanical typewriter style sound.
And it has harder than MX Brown tactile bump before actuation.

Besides G810 and G910 Logitech has also couple other Romer-G keyboards.

Though there's still likely G710 and some other older models with Cherry MX.

I've just spent a month or 2 down the mechanical keyboard rabbit hole myself.
These are the things I 'd recommend deciding what you want as it could narrow down your choices a lot:

1) Key type choice
Probably the most important and hardest to answer without trying them for yourself (as you've already tried), so check out as many youtube videos as you can on key type comparisons.
It sounds like with your condition, the lighter touch switches like cherry MX Red's, Red Silents, Browns and speeds are the best fits.
I believe there are even lighter actuation force switches by other manufacturers but that's where the research will help.

2) Material
The really high end keyboards tend to have cases built from aluminium, which gives them a nice heft. However, in your case I suspect having your hands on a cold lump of metal might exacerbate the problem so you might want to investigate this for any keyboard you buy.

3) Wristrest
Not sure if Raynaud's is particularly effected by your hand positioning so this might be more of a requirement for you - or something you already have or may need to also invest in.

4) Dedicated Media Keys
I really wanted this, and didn't want to have to use a fn+F* keypress to adjust volume - this filtered down the search a lot.

5) Macro Keys

6) Backlighting
Single colour or RGB

I ended up getting the iKBC F108 with Brown switches and love it. The tactile 'bump' the mx browns give is barely noticeable to me, so I could have got reds and been equally as happy.
My previous keyboard had an attached wristrest so the change in my wrist angle is quite noticeable - I'm just waiting it out to see if i get used to it or not.

That's good point.
If fingers/hands go numb already easily having some heat conducting metal surface likely doesn't help.

Anyway I guess most mechanical keyboards have at least internal metal structure so they aren't flimsy even if surface is plastics.
Logitech has switches attached to steel plate so keyboard isn't going to flex under key presses or circuit board stressed from heavy handed typing.
Would expect weight to be good consult for metal being included in construction.

Builtin wrist rests are basically always uselessly slim.

Hi many thanks guys yes seems trying is harder than having Tea with the Queen!
But must admit the Romers seemed quite good for feel/pressing as wasn't plugged into anything and was one below 810 think 5 something?
My hands give grief on there own but touch something cold like water gives a whole new meaning to grief!
But sometimes can be ok/better but be hugging keyboard unless blonde and busty! lol. but even plastics are cold

Don't really ever use media keys but would like to learn to set up macros for things(Have buttons on mouse but forget them though!!)
Want decent back lighting though so can see keys easily.
Wrist rest is good so are good others not mind some size of a town!

Raynauds is often something that just does it's own thing but linked to many other illnesses as well like Fibro/MS and other things it closes blood flow to extremites by a reaction to something had it once where half my hand was ok other half not at a diagonal angle from wrist across to index finger looked like been shut in the door! all the caused it was a draft.

Mind one bonus is found the logitech G910 for £90!

Have a sort of short list atmo with 910 and K95 maybe the K70 but what is the difference between them as in Lux/Platinum etc
Another ive found is a ducky shine 6

Logitech doesn't have any curernt 5xx model number keyboard.
Old G510 was standard membrane/rubber dome keyboard with "good luck for trying to remember" 18 macro keys...

Besides G810/910 G413 and wirelss G613 use Romer-G. (K840 is non gaming keyboard)
G610 is Cherry MX keyboard with multiple versions.
G710+ is available both with MX Blue (blue trimming around macro keys) and MX Brown. (orange trim)

Sounds about as nice as once waking at night suddenly to something cold over stomache.
Trying to throw that cold thing away didn't work well with it just dropping next to me.
Then I noticed I didn't feel left hand...

could have been the G413 as that seems right number!

Yeah cold hands and cold feet in bed!!!

Having a great night now! got my GPU Gainward 970 nothing displayed no post screen even blue light on monitor is steady though and not saying no signal!
Someone was saying theres a conflict issues with ASus p8p67 mobo and newer cards? could it be that or dead card?

G413 is in certain sense much like lower version of G810:
Single colour backlight and no media/volume keys.
Though design is different with aluminum plate as keyboard surface instead of usual plastic.
And aluminum is used in heatsinks exactly because of its high thermal conductivity...

I think might have read few times from troubles with that motherboard.
Though those have quite few BIOS updates so that might help if BIOS is older.

Well got gpu working now! awesome like sitting on a rocket going round map!

Just need keyboard now K95 had eyes on has outta stock on browns have in reds at scan they have K70 in either plus few types of K70!
Found G910 £90 ono on flea bay! maybe that one? also found G810 was cheaper. ducky shine 6 all sold

Just an opinion of course, but I have owned several Corsair keyboards and I think the Logitech Romer-G are vastly superior. If you want flashy then go for the Corsair, but if you want good then go for the Logitech. The action and backlighting are far superior
