Can anyone recommend those USB vacuum cleaners? I heard they might be underpowered.

And has anyone ever used a normal vacuum cleaner to suck all the bits out of their keyboard? I'm scared I'll lose some of the keys! :)

Meh, just take all the keys out and put them in a bowl full of warm water and fairy liquid. Leave for 15-20 mins and then dry them with a hairdryer

Vola! Clean keys ;)

Then use the vac to clean inside your keyboard :D

Cleaned mines after reading this thread today.

Well I took my mums Dyson to my 'cheap' keyboard and it survived intact. But there's no way I'm forcing keys outta my new Steelseries keyboard, as much as I admire tchan4 for getting in there down n dirty :)

Noticed a can ful of compressed air on my bookshelf too, so next time I'll give it a blast with that :)

+1 just done it a min ago,and in my case all temps down 5degress

But surely you can't take a vacuum to a case? Anyone else doing this? What about static? God I dread to think what the inside of my (3yr) old PC looks like, if I thought it was safe to vacuum, I'd have given it a once over ages ago :)

Vacuum it! :D

Just hold the nozzle in one hand, and the case in the other, (so you are grounding the nozzle) so no static will build up.

It's by FAR the best way to clean inside your PC :)

I tilt my keyboard upwards & then Bash it down on the desk & then I hoover all the crap out from along the bottom row, JD.
