Just wondering what they are like as a brand? Are they cheap for a reason or?

Warranty friendly with coolers removed etc?

Looking at reference 1070s to WC.

They're a big player on a global scale and make some of the best cards around in the Hall of Fame series. You might also know them as Galaxy. KFA2 is their European brand (although they also tried 'Galax' around the time of Maxwell's launch, which was weird). I believe they have a UK RMA centre too, based in Wales.

IIRC they took over BFG's old RMA bases in the UK.

Was reading through various thread and found a quote from galaxy saying they don't allow cooler removal.

Plus the card I was looking at went back up in price, so went with the msi reference instead, as they seem to be okay with coolers removable and WC friendly.

My brother bought two HoF 980Ti last year and they both had to be RMA'd. That was enough to put me off them, and some of their coolers look cheap IMO.

Much rather an MSI or Asus.
