Ah no phoenix foods, what about Trade Saver? The Trade Saver mayo is awesome stuff. You need to find one of those sort of companies that get mayo you've neverh eard of, i bet you £100 it'll be one of those mayo's just shoved in a mayo gun etc

.....anyway, on the subject of fast food 'restaurant' mayo, we had to go into a McD's a while ago which I hate, as I resent eating something that looks as though someone already has. Plus the fact that real food should require the use of teeth, so it doesn't qualify on those grounds either. Anyhoo, we asked for some mayo for the chips and had the following discussion with the Manager:

Us: Could we have some mayo please?

McD: No we don't have mayo

Us: What do you put on the burgers then?

McD: Special burger sauce

Us: Could we have some of that then?

McD: No

Us: Why not?

McD: Because we're only allowed to put it in the burgers. Any sauce for the customers comes in sealed units. The burger sauce only comes in catering packs.

Us: Surely you could just put some in a chip bag or a cup or something?

McD: No, because we're only allowed to give customers sealed units.

Us: But you're putting it in the burgers.

McD: Yes, we're allowed to put it in the burgers. If we put it into something else, it may become contaminated.

Us: But how could it be contaminated if you're putting it into the burgers or just putting it into something disposable like a cup?

McD: The disposable may be contaminated

Us: But you're putting food into your disposables

McD: Yes, we're allowed to do that, but if we put the sauce into it, it may contaminate the sauce.

Go figure.

Try 3663, a major food supplier as most large franchise firms seem to use them.

hadn't actually thought of 3663, we used them when I was working in a cinema. The issue here is whether they sell to lowly me. And I suppose finding out whether they sell it too.

I used to have a word document for all of the recipe's etc... for McDonald's foods and sauces.

I'll try and find it in a bit.

That's worrying with all the MSG. I doubt they are authentic recipes though as most of them have ingredients that need recipes to make themselves (such as mayonnaise) so the flavours would change dependant on the ingredients used.
