kfc

Honestly I've never had a KFC
Their Chips look weak and I'd rather have my chicken in a bun.

There's one opposite a supermarket I use and it does smell pretty good when the winds blowing the right direction.

makes me wonder if it's an artificial smell or not, like some supermarkets do with "baked bread"

Your not missing much.
Used to be quite good but I only go now when the misses really wants it.

They are known for their dreadful fries.

If we go I always get the burger as its the only passible thing on the menu.

Mighty bucket for one. 2x Hot Wings, 2x Crispy Strips (which seem about half the size they were previously), 2x Chicken pieces and fries. Perfection.

I ate 10 pieces of original recipe chicken in 30 minutes before.

I reckon I could do 15-20 in a sitting if I had a bit more time.

But yea KFC has gone down a lot I used to like it maybe 20 years ago.

There are plenty of independent fried chicken places now that are far better these days.

I had one the other day and the fries were actually decent, had some kind of seasoning on them. The chicken was dry and unpleasant but prior to that I would have said they had the worst fast food fries. Not sure if they have changed them up or that particular branch did something different.

my wife only eats white ..

a chicken is cut into 9 bits .. 2 legs 2 thighs 2 ribs 2 wings and a keel .. and thats how it should be served so you get an even spread of white and dark meat the keel being the best bit .. so 11 pieces of dark meat my wife only eats white ..

People walk in and demand the breast pieces. Bucket orders will get what there is.

I don’t think it’s really practical to give you all the different pieces like that when you’ve got so many people coming in wanting 2, 4, 6, 10, 14 etc bits of chicken. The fact is there’s not enough keels to give everyone one, some will miss out.

i don’t get the fascination with the keel either. Personally I find it the driest cut of all with a very thin skin. It can be a chore to eat. I’m actually quite disappointed when I get a keel. Even thighs can be like that sometimes. Drumsticks (legs) are actually my favourites. The meat is very moist and they have the loosest and juiciest skin out of all the pieces.
