kfc

Thebuckets are stupid though. A 6 piece feeds 1 or 2 adults max or maybe 3 kids so why do you need 4 portions of chips with it? No one wants more than a portion of those sad limp chips.and it’s 4 portions in every bucket whether it be a 6 piece or a 14 piece. It makes no sense

they should do it on a ratio of 1 portion for every 2 or 3 pieces. Even better, you should be able to create your own buckets with your choice of how many pieces, mini fillets, hot wings, sides and chips.

Is the keel that symmetrical piece with the whit gelatinous bit running down the middle? If so that is my least favourite piece type. So dry. Give me a piece with the ribs on and I will pretty much eat the whole thing including the bones. Hot wings are my favourite though, I can chain eat these no problem. I remember they did a 20 hot wings bucket deal the other year, lasted two days.

The fries are rank though, about 10-12 years ago KFC had the best fries of all the fast food places. But they've progressively gone more "rustic" and are way worse for it now. Plus everything is drier now, chicken and all. It used to be a thing at work that if anyone mentioned the word kfc they knew I had to go and have one that night, I was that addicted. Just the mention of the word. Nowadays I am immune to this and only get it when I can't be arsed to make any tea.

My argument too. Keels (breasts) are dry as a bone and make your jaws ache chewing your way through it

You can’t make your own buckets up

True, but I'll tend to just order the original recipe chicken and nothing else, which you can do.

Also I got a deep fryer at home, so if I'm taking it home to eat I'll do my own fries much better than KFC.

I think it goes for all of these things, McDonald's etc, the "meal" or the fries and drink are where they make the most money, both are cheap horrible things, I'll generally tend to have just the burger or whatever, even when out.

I love how you are the literal definition of "we've got that at home" but unlike the joke yours IS actually better :D

Zinger tower burger runs a classic whopper close as my favourite fast food burger.

I don't know why KFC persist with their sad limp fries though. They would be top tier with nice crispy chips.

Haha mint! I couldn't trust myself with a fryer, I'd be like 30 stone within a week  It was bad enough when I had a toasted sandwich maker :D

Yea...... Why I've spent the last 20 minutes swinging my kettle bell around and will be walking later.

It's a blessing and a curse getting good at cooking food like it came out of the take away.

You can do pretty good fried chicken as well, comparable to KFC. Some of the independent chicken places are better though.

There are a few in London I sometimes get food from and they are very good, Dallas City Chicken in North London and Morley's (small chain) in South London better anything I can achieve and **** all over KFC for that matter, cheaper as well.

Haha yep!

Yeah there was a banging KFC style place near Walthamstow Dog track (RIP) back in 2009 that a girl took me too a few times, it was unreal! The funniest thing was they couldn't speak English and it was a front for drug money being washed there, they'd have phone calls in their own language then you'd here british words for drugs thrown inbetween the foreign  Then you'd look at them, and they'd realise what they'd said and try and be sly hahaha.

Banging chicken though!

I don't eat KFC that often (perhaps once or twice a year) but I would quite happily enjoy just a plate of mini fillets and some gravy!

In my experience the KFC chicken buckets are always far too much of a mixed story - you'll get several amazing bits and then some which are just rank, nasty :( the local one where I used to live actually had really good fries but the one near where I live now they were (not had anything from them in about a year) limp and bitty (looking at reviews of that branch common complaint is the chips are a "bit dead").

EDIT: Lots of 1 star reviews in the last year - probably a good thing we don't use them any more.
