Just done a tour of the highlands in a KIA ceed as my focus is sick.
I must say what a nice car to drive loads of toys to play with (parking censors front & back also sat nav) the engine for a 1.6 diesel is very refined. Sat happy at 85 from Glasgow to penrith
Maybe bye bye Ford hello KIA ( 7 year warranty helps ; ) )

What be those then, have Kia taken parking sensors to the next level by adding a "C"?

Anyways, couldn't agree less with the rest of it, its an ok car in its own right but nothing more.

I can't see why you would be pleased at the thought of keeping a diesel Kia for 7years? :confused: I know not everyone wants a 300bhp turbocharged nutter to rag around in but seriously for the money there are MUCH better alternatives!

Does the warranty not become much more restrictive after the first few years? Like only paying out if the engine is eaten by a goat or something?

I found the Cee'd ok but not fantastic. Noisey, plastic interior and overall cheap. This was the petrol version.

I like how you clarify it was the petrol version, like the diesel is going to be any different! :p

The warranty is a full 7 years from date of first registration OR to a maximum of 100,000 miles (whichever is the sooner). For the first three years of the warranty, the mileage is unlimited.

So that limits you to an average of under 15k a year.

* there is no mileage limit during the first 3 years, except for vehicles used as taxis where a limit of 100,000 miles applies.
* there is a 100,000 mile limit between years 4 and 7.
* paintwork is covered for 5 years / 100,000 miles.
* audio is covered for 3 years / 60,000 miles.
* batteries are covered for 2 years.
* normal ‘wear and tear’ on items such as brake linings and clutch linings, etc. are excluded from cover.
* the warranty is transferable to subsequent owners and is valid across Europe.
