kia ceed : )

So that limits you to an average of under 15k a year.

To be honest I think that's pretty good as far as warrentys go. No idea on the car but I'd be a very happy bunny if my next purchase of a 1 year old car came with 6 years of warrenty left.

Also who is going to buy a Kia Cee'd to do more than 15k a year in, don't people buy them as scrapage specials and old people cause they're cheap?

I have a Kia pro_cee'd 2 1.6 Diesel as a company car through work.

Had it about 3 weeks now and up to now I like it a lot, much better than many cars I have had in the past.

A few people at work thought it was a strange car to have, but now that a few have been in it they are being converted !

Not really a car person, as long as it has four wheels and a steering wheel, I'm fairly happy, but I have had an Astra SRi 2.0 and a Peugeot 206 2.0 16v in the past.

This is the demographic Kia aim at.

I really don't know about the newer Kias but I have been impressed by the current model Hyundai Santa Fe and the new Sonata seems decent too. I'd never advocate buying one new but consider the savage depreciation, you can buy one that's a year or two old and still have plenty of warranty left (5 years for Hyundai) and get a lot for your money. I would say the Santa Fe stands up to everything it's aimed at with aplomb ...it does not look, feel or drive like a cheap imitation.

I wouldn't have given the time of day to Hyundai previously, now I have actually had some experience with one of their latest and best offerings I have to say ...it's not bad at all, in-fact, it's good. This doesn't mean Kia isn't still awful but sooner or later they might start to get it right. The new Magentis looks alright from the outside, I have no idea what it's like inside or to drive though.

They're solid, basic cars with a good warranty. No more. If you're after quality materials or enjoy driving, look elsewhere. A demonstrator/similar would be an ideal car for someone who likes having a new numberplate and no hassle - the vast majority of the country I'd imagine, unfortunately :(

Basic car? For your £ you get more kit then the same priced ford!

I thought the understeer was diabolical and it was stupidly loud on the motorway.

A Kia is a heavy basic car, where even the big heavy reliable bits fail in no time, the reason it has a large Warranty is because you pay for it, they cost as much as a real car.

Well ok then how much should I be looking paying for a 08 1.6 36,566 ls ? Full S/h
Still with 5 years warranty?

£7k maybe. The Kia needs to much more than a few hundred pounds cheaper than a Civic to work, it needs to be thousends cheaper. You can be an 09 Hyundai Sonata with a 3.3 V6 for £9k or so ...that really is a lot of car for the money. It's not basic and it doesn't have a tiny engine.

lol kia cee apostrophe d

As said, you must be easily pleased. Especially in the highlands. You can do rather better than this for £14,000.
