I like how you clarify it was the petrol version, like the diesel is going to be any different!![]()
Because the petrol doesn't sound as much like a tractor yet the car was still noisey!

I disagree. My 13 year old Volvo is an infinitely better place to be than a Chevy Spark. Whatever that is..a new Chevy Spark would feel nice compared too a 12 year old car.

So that limits you to an average of under 15k a year.
Not really a car person, as long as it has four wheels and a steering wheel, I'm fairly happy, but I have had an Astra SRi 2.0 and a Peugeot 206 2.0 16v in the past.
Had it about 3 weeks now and up to now I like it a lot, much better than many cars I have had in the past.

They're solid, basic cars with a good warranty. No more. If you're after quality materials or enjoy driving, look elsewhere. A demonstrator/similar would be an ideal car for someone who likes having a new numberplate and no hassle - the vast majority of the country I'd imagine, unfortunately![]()
I can get a new honda civic 1.8 disel for £13999, kinda makes the ceed expensive.
