Kick-Ass

Saw it at a free-screening, the film lived up to it's name. :) Loved it from start to finish. Had me in stitches, but was also quite dark in certain scenes. Nick Cage was as awful as ever, but his hammed up acting fit in just fine - however in the action scenes, his stunt-double upstages him severely. ;)

9/10

Well it certainly didn't disappoint and was great fun from start to finish. There were a few divergences from the comic book that I'd have preferred to have not happened but this is a minor point. Nic Cage was actually good in his role and he hammed it up brilliantly, or maybe he just did his usual acting, who knows. But it was Chloe Moretz as Mindy Macready/Hit Girl who stole the show cursing and killing her way through the film. I wish I had a daughter like her.

Awesome.

Just got back from seeing this, absolutely amazing film. I see it without having seen the trailer or knowing anything about it beyond it being a "superhero" film (in quotes for obvious reasons). I was very impressed with the way they moved from comedy to serious and dark, sometimes going back and forth quite quickly without it jarring. It captured teen angst in this context far far better than Spiderman managed to do. Pretty much the whole cast was perfect, best role Cage has had in ages. The thing about the young girl swearing, it happened maybe 4-5 times that I remember, funny but not gratuitous.

Just a shame it wasn't better placed and the screen was half empty, fantastic film that's definitely worth seeing in the cinema.

Pretty much the summing up I'd have given - think there was only one place where it jarred, think it was around the torture scene. I was discussing it afterwards and it definitely seemed to work, which it very rarely does.

the movie seems very good but i hope they didn't put the best jokes in the trailer like many other movies have done.

They've put a fair few, but there's absolutely loads that aren't in the trailers. The final fight had me in stitches :D

I haven't laughed so much in the cinema for a long, long time. Definitely worth going to watch, so glad I chose this over Alice in Wonderland now. :D

Saw it today was a great film. A comedy? maybe not there wasnt any real laugh out loud moments just some chucking.

Take it as a light hearted version of Kill Bill and its on to a winner. I love over the top violence and i liked how the mood changes from funny to dark.

8.5/10 for me.

Saw it today and it was brilliant.

Was talking a while ago about how rubbish Nick Cage was but in this he was perfect. Slightly unhinged and did a great batman impression. Hit Girl was crazy. Kick Ass, he was alright. I can see why Hollywood didnt want it. Was too good, unique, and politically incorrect.

saw it tonight, whole cinema was in fits - brill film.
im not a fan of nick cage but this was by far his best role in years...amazing.

great film and cant wait for it to come out on bd and hopefully a sequel!

I also enjoyed this film however there was something a little odd about watching a little girl slaughter people.
