Fantastic footy game, Match Day II on the spectrum to the much beloved KO2 for the ST. Spent weeks on this, fantastic game.
I do vaguely recall, not being able to get the reply option to work and bowling down to the Anco offices based in an industrial estate in Dartford, Kent. Some geezah turned around and simple said "nah mate the reply function only works when playing at 100% speed".
I was playing at 50% speed.

Emlyn Hughes international Soccer or matchday II wasted many a drink fueled night with the lads on the C64.
KO 2 was great on the A512 but the run straight, central and swerve on the edge of the 18yd box bug got a bit irratating after a while.
Lotus Turbo challenge was the best racer imo for the amiga
....oh and Comp pro 5000 FTW

Matchday 2 was great in its time and Player Manager was quite good but there is only one master. I mean in what other game could i go Brazil and actually play like them. Bending balls all over the place, dribbling past multiple opponents etc etc.
Though I still remember the humiliation of being beaten 5-3 by my brother at sensi (he is a much inferior player) i went Brazil and he was Germany or Italy i think. I never bothered too much about defence... for me its all about the style.
