Kicking Off in the West Bank

Mr Saadat was arrested in connection with the killing of right-wing Tourism Minister Rehavam Zeevi by PFLP gunmen in 2001, an attack which itself was to avenge the assassination of Mr Saadat's predecessor by Israel.

An eye for an eye makes the world blind...when will they get it? How stupid are they? It's always like this, just when there's a bit of quite, bang bang some bomb goes off or some choppers blow up a few houses.

I was listening to the news earlier and you could actually hear gunfire in the background, they stopped the commentary and asked what was going on.

Mad all of them. :(

Ooops

in the last few years in n ireland i have seen palestinian flags flying alongside tricolours in nationalist areas and israeli flags alongside union jacks in the loyalist areas :o

i have a feeling that there is more to this incident today and it will be the catalyst for stirring up hamas to take action so then israel can say to the rest of the world that they will not deal with terrorists, even if they are elected.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who read the title as "Kicking off in Natwest Bank" :o

edit - Seen the above posts, but I'm ashamed to say mine was genuine

"Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has condemned Britain and the US for pulling out the monitors and said they were responsible for the prisoners' safety."

Why should we be responsible for them??????

Bloody idiots! I say sod them all.

Well the prisoners were under international (including UK) supervision. i.e. their responsibility. However I don't blame them for pulling their officers out - it seems needless to get them killed over this... however the international supervisors (including the UK) have/had the responsibility of looking after the prisoners and not letting the madmen of Israel get to them.
