One of my Seagate drives (120GB) recently went **** up. WinXP had crashed and it would not start up again. I'm now trying to recover the data from the drive (if poss) but my computer won't even boot with the drive connected.
When booting with the drive connected it makes a ticking click every few seconds. I remember reading something about hitting the drive to try and get it going again, is this possible?
If not, anyone recommend good data recovery companies?
