Sure hope this happens guys.
Socom was and still is one of the best third person shooter out there, the thought of it coming to PC and PS4 is something special.

Got sent this by email in the week. Not 100% convinced they can recreate it.

Been playing Socom since socom 1 would love an identical shooter that recreates socom 1's gameplay on socom 2, how we can dream.

Edit: just seen the update posted today, they have the creator of desert glory and fish hook i'm a touch more hopeful.

If anyone can recreate socom it's theses guys. It's some if the same people who made the first two games.

Just hope this happens.

1 and 2 were ace and it is what led me onto the arma series.

ArmA2 is a game that for the last 5 years has blown my mind every day. That said, arma3 is out its still in alpha and its got its issues but its going to begin to push arma2 aside.

ArmA3 for me (as an avid arma2 player) has a long way to go in terms of mods and stock content getting up to scratch But as it progresses into beta and final release this September I'd certainly recommend it.

If you like that Tactical style of play from the original socom games, but entirely multiplayer on 200km square + maps. with air assets, armor, comms, realism. everything.

ArmA2 with ACE/ACRE (TS3) Or wait for ArmA3 to stabilize they'll suck all your time.

All that said, its not for everyone.

Yer Arma is a very good game, but its not socom style paced shooter. Its much more slow and takes some getting used to like said above its not for everyone.

This is the first and probably last Kickstarter ill back but I loved Socom and still do, and the prospect of this making it to market excites me immensely. Should post in console discussion really, most of the old Socom community are probably still console gamers.

Started my online gaming career on Socom 1. Played 1, 2, 3, CA. The one on PS3 aswell (can't remember the name), but it was awful. This has piqued my interest

this is getting made by the devs who made one and two and are promising a True Socom experience.

Also coming to PC but sadly I dont think it will get the following on PC it will need.

One excuse for me to buy a PS4 I suppose.

I backed it, only thing I've backed but my love for Socom as a gaming franchise is unparalleled. That screenshot certainly gives me some hope, just that cross hair brought back so many memories.

Looking forwards to getting in on the Alpha & Beta

It is coming out on the PC. It'll be alpha'd and beta'd on the PC and it'll release first on the PC.
