Amazing little species.

well to update the thread

on the basis that it doesn't appear to be a false widow it has been captured and released into the garden

nah tis not an ISIS member - it has been vetted, t'was a moderate spider - a genuine refugee seeking asylum in the house - though I felt it was now safe for it to return to the garden so I've sent him back home

Our garage had an infestation of those God awful false widows, I have never witnessed such an aggressive sod in all my life. When I went to swat it, rather than run away it actually charged at me!

And just this morning while at my desk, something caught my eye on the wall above me - it was a giant house spider, you know, those mahoosive hairy brown ones. Now, I am not an arachnophobe, but that made my balls shiver...

Its got teeth like a saber toothed tiger..................see ya.....................................................................................

This.

It takes a while to learn the language of the arachnid, though once you're there it's easy enough to establish new friendship and understand each others requirements. He looks like a Dave. Have you asked if his name's Dave?

While I agree with the language barrier, I think he looks more like a Jeff than a Dave.
