Kill Team

I started a Necron team. I thought it would be easy, but the ball joints are a bit fiddly and where the arms connect to the hands GW seemed to have omitted the little locating lug they have used in other places on the Necrons. With the Immortal pack I can see I'll be left with loads of left over bits that I really don't want. I could convert some of my Necron warriors but I don't really need to, it would just be extra work. I think its time to brave ebay and try to flog them.

Show and tell time. Kill Team update! Pretty much finished the gaming zone. Got a few more barriers to add to the buildings. Its just all junk from bins! Saved a bit of money which ment I could buy more models! Not even played yet, just waiting for something or another...

My Necron Kill Team roster. Managed to convert a bunch of warriors using all the spare parts in the Deathmark box.

My Primaris Team (With "Little big small" as my Marine Sargent with combie plasma gun. A few mods to the weapons, namely granade launcher, snipy type gun and old "Mike, thats not a knife, knife" with his knife that looks like a sword to the right of one of the Primaris photos.

All I need to do now is paint my Orks and Scions/Imperial Guard.

Got my Ork team finished. Really enjoyed painting these. Although I took the easy way with the skin this time. Just green with a green wash, rather than dark green, highlighted with light green then a wash.

Also finally managed to paint the Death Guard from the First Strike box. I really did NOT enjoy painting them and gave up on some of the finer details. They are great models and I just could not be bothered to put more time into them.

Just started on a Tau kill team.

I'm tempted to buy a battle map and load of scenery and get into this with my son, doing full armies takes far too long.

You only really need the manual. You can do poorhammer like me and print out a map (just search for stone wallpaer or the like) and use anything for terrian. Means more money to spend on making kill teams! I'm pretty much doing this so my son and I can learn together. We played a few rounds of the Storm of Sigmar and he remembers all the rules, I'm constinatally having to look at my notes to work out what to do next. He also loves the info sheets so I printed them from the manual and laminated them. It seems like a great game, you dont really need to follow the rules to a T straight away as long as its fun.

Although I should be painting my Scions and Imperial guard team... I had three Intercessors and three Reivers from Conquest lying around collecting dust. Bashed them up with some Scion bits, a Death Guard head, some Marine Terminator bits and bought some shoulder pads and Nemesis falchions for £7.80 off ebay. Et voila. I quite liked the halberd made from a falchion and the Scion flag pole. There is also a metal arm from a Techmarine I bought (and regretfully sold) 10 or so years ago.

That's as far as I'll go with them for now. I'm just happy that I have used a ton of bits that were lying around doing nothing and had fun doing it.

I don't know much about the lore on Grey Knights but I did read they they don't like having the Imperial Aquila on them; thinking they have not earned it? So off it came... mostly.

AhHa! Also finished off a Tau Kill Team a while back. Started off fun painting the Stealth Suits but quickly became frustrating with so many thin coats of Celestra Grey. Also painting white is definitely off my list of fun things to do. I wanted something brighter to stand out from the other kill teams that are all quite dark.

The supposed AoS version of Kill Team. Either that, or a full Skirmish release.

Some rumours from a "trusted source" (not mine) has said it's a full boxed AoS Kill Team, with squads of 4 to 20, more terrain, cards, new models, etc...

Jesus christ. I don't have any room left. Mind you, might be a great excuse to buy a pack of Chainrasps, I really want a go at painting them. I'm so screwed...
