Killer instinct W10

It's on the Windows Store now, be interested how this runs/looks on the PC as I loved playing this in the arcade. It's free and a 21.7GB download.
No idea what limitations are on the free version or how much the in game purchases are.

I had every thing from S1/2 an Shadow Jago, sold console last year an nothing's carried over 
I read that every thing purchased would carry over as its the same account but, the only things that wouldn't carry over if i don't do the X1 update first is the stats.
Just checked an nothing has carried over no S1/2 or Shago
Tried re-purchasing the complete lot in the story but there's no prices for the bundles is any one else getting the same results?

do you really need to pay for extra characters, ill pass on it then. other games have had quite a few limitations on games through the w10 store though

yes you do defo have to pay,i just went to check it out and you get 1 free character and that's it,you have to pay to unlock the rest by buying a bundle or I think you can buy one at a time,its kinda put me off so wont download it yet
The game is free so how is it a bad thing you have to buy characters? It's basically a demo.

Anything that's exclusively on the W10 store I'll be boycotting, free or not.

Ok, I have tried this. Good news and Bad news
Good news - All my data and characters have sync over to the Windows 10 version.
Bad news - You need to log into the Xbox One version first and update/sync your save file. It will notify you on the console version and unlock it for Windows 10. Then log into the Windows 10 version, load the game and sync your save file.
Pain in the bum but it looks like MS have implemented verification system to make sure you still own a Xbox One console. Unless you can log onto someone elses console to update your save file then you are out of luck unfortunately.

Downloading this now. I purchased S1 Ultra a while back when I had an X1, played upwards of 40 hours so looking forward to jumping back in as I miss playing it.
Game looks and runs well on my PC, little miffed that all I can do to choose where it is installed is select a drive but I was expecting this. And as I'm not to OCD about my folder structure I can live with it.
The one major problem I do have with the game is that it seems to run at a 1000FPS and feels like playing the hacked version of SF2 where everything was at hyper speed.
Initially thought the bundle deals where a tad expensive but in hindsight they are pretty much inline with the cost of most new games now. Or you have the choice of paying for the characters you want to use. Shame they don't allow you to choose one free character at the start.
