Why, in the name of sweet jesus, would anyone pay £280 to go and see The Killers?? Their debut album only came out in 2004 for crying out loud! What is wrong with people?

Lol some pairs up well over £1K now. :D :D

Servers those ******* right for buying up tickets in bulk to flog on !!!

The pair going for £1000+ are bid on by 'ticketsforrealfansonlyprotest', guessing some people don't like the ebay sellers and forcing fake bids.

Don't see why they don't just do bigger venues, as they're so massively popular.

My mates rang up for an hour from 9am, they sold after 20 mins, gutted.

But I presume they will be doing a bigger tour after the album is out.

Smaller venues > Bigger venues.

Sure, less people get to see them. But the ones that do will have a far greater experience than they would at a larger concert.

One of the best gigs I have ever been to was Radiohead at blackpool empress earlier this year. The atamosphere was truly immense and would have been much worse in a larger venue.

Plus, I couldn't see the killers filling a large stadium, there is a massive difference between selling out a carling academy compared to a venue like the MEN.

i sold my four tickets for £480

i wanted to go but had a credit card that needed paying, if people will pay silly money i guess.. not bad for a 30 mins work. gutted i'm not going but i know i had to sell for that price! damn you ebay!

Any ideas you'll get the tickets mate to actually dispatch?

Are they going to be dispatched early or just a week in advance?

O look, one pair at £560 and the bidder is: revengeforrealkillersfans( 0 )

:D ROFL :D

That person is bidding on a few other pairs too.

What happens when people do that? Does the seller get PO because obviously the bidder isn't going to pay?

Can someone explain to me why they do this - I am being a noob

The seller will win as many of these as possible and then just deregister causing grief for sellers.

You can help guard against it by not accepting bids from people with 2 or more unpaid strikes and cancelling bids from 0 feedback users.

I have to agree with their mentality though. The music industry should make more of an effort to ensure real fans get tickets not towts
