AWPC and Tom84 are out of their minds
Crysis' water, models, textures, light and smoke effects, draw distance, physics etc are all better than KZ2, COD4 and Far Cry Predator Instincts. I actually thought Far Cry looked **** even in 2004 so I don't think Crysis is just a prettied up Far Cry either. There is also one level in Crysis that is very KZ2/CODish where there are loads of guns firing, explosions etc and the frame rate held very steady still.
"When you actually get up close to the objects in Crysis you can see the lack of texture detail its really bad and the draw distance is shocking unless you use a custom config to increase it."
The lack of texture detail is far, far more apparent in COD4 and KZ2.
And you say the draw distance is poor? I can drive through levels and aside from some small rocks/shrubs, nothing suddenly pops in.
And lastly, sorry for ruining the thread but I had to make an argument..
