Killzone 2 knocked off the graphical throne

Texture wise yes, animation no, Uncharted 2 looks fantastic as does Killzone 2, but both have a different look to them. In killzone there was bullets, rubble, explosions, smoke etc all being affected by phsics including wind direction. I would say KZ2 lighting is the best ive seen in game, but as we have only seen a bit of Uncharted 2 and is still WIP it is hard to judge. Still think Heavy Rain looks better in some aspects to both of these.
 
Looks very nice. For those thinking of downloading the "high quality" vid from slow as chuff megaupload, don't bother. It's not even a direct feed. It's a HD video camera video with wishy-washy colours.

I'm pretty much echoing this. I still think heavy Rain is going to be the best looking game out there.
 
Heavy rain has the best graphics by far, the facial expressions and the textures are awesome.

Why do people care about graphics so much tho ?

I know gameplay is important and all, But surely its obvious why people like graphics :p

If a game came out with awesome gameplay, and crap graphics, It would be fine, If it came out with awesome gameplay and awesome graphics it would be better. but we all know what happens when its nice graphics and crap gameplay dont we.
 
I'd need to see direct-feed video to make a real decision. I've only seen the YouTube video and judging on that I think Uncharted 2 comes a little behind Killzone 2.

I sure would like to see the ice levels though, wondering if snow will actually be the new water in Uncharted 2.
 
I wouldnt call the mp average , i would say it has more reliance on good team work than most .
Not sure if uncharted 2 is mp but it will have to be really good to get it me to play it 65 hours in first month like killzone 2 .
Im not that good or got that good skills or stats but you can approach the fight many diffrent ways and the squad idea is a brill idea :D
Still think we are going to get beat tonight on the forum match if its still on :p
 
Played Killzone 2 online today, it was a little all over the place, didnt' really understand what was going on by I had a Kill : Death ratio of 10:6 consistently for an hour. I obviously struggled with the controls (that pad with FPS's just doesn't work for me). What I would say is that the map I was on was absolutely terrible, very boring and plain, I looked on the scoreboard and couldn't see the name of it on there, so I couldn't tell you which one it was, but it never changed in the hour I was playing. :(.

I think it has potential. I'm gonna give Resistance 2 a MP going over this weekend too and I'll be surprised if it's not better than Killzone 2.
