Killzone 3(maybe official thread?)

Yeah Im getting freezes aswell when I just tried - every few mins the whole game freezes for a second...

hum i was hoping it was just me having issues :( i cannot even complain on the killzone forum its down at the moment . will be on tomorrow but for how long is anyones guess due to these lock ups and problems since this 1.9 patch .
 
Trying to - PSN still not at its best and the latest patch has definitely removed the silly lag and warping and us joining US servers but theres a silly stutter in game for me.

Ive not had a chance to link up with the usual suspects but Im still eager for some KZ3, I have noticed Ive gotten worse...

I did see you on, assuming you were back - did send a message but I guess its your bro...

Had a strange urge to pick this up after hating Killzone 2.

So glad i did.

So much better than 2. Just a shame i have finished it already. :(
 
Good games last night cheers Stella! I reeeally hope they include a new Operations map in future dlc. Also got quite a few game freezes.

NEW FEATURES

Custom Games, Part 2. Additional information can be found at the bottom of the article, but it will include: choosing abilities, weapons and careers, as well as toggling functionality such as ribbons, skills and explosives.

Squad Only Chat. This is still an experimental feature and may not always function as expected.

Playing Audio/Music from your PS3 during MP games.

Marksman Improvements:
Cloak rippling effect has been increased.
Cloak now ripples with increased intensity when firing non silenced weapons.
Transition from uncloaked to cloaked has been extended.
A cloak fade transition between moving and not-moving has been introduced (player no longer snaps out of view).

Distance Indicator for off-screen medics.

Matchmaking. We will now make players switch faction automatically at the end of a round if teams are unbalanced. Note that this will only affect players that are not in a squad or that have sent an invite to create a squad, and that it will not happen at all in Clan games or Custom Games.

You can now only submit another grief report for the same person if at least 7 minutes have elapsed since the previous one.

One thing that doesn't seem to be mentioned (but I don't know if this is just me) - when you kill someone with melee as Infiltrator you don't lose your disguise. I'm sure you used to unless you explicitly did a brutal melee. :confused:

Cheers for inviting us muttler i really enjoyed akmir snowdrift last night it ran better than usual for me and i used to ate that map with detest

hopefully it has been changed near enough everyone last night on the opposing team was a marksman or infiltrator not bothering with objectives and going for kills which helped us. we dominate spawns and
and won near on every game we played .

This new patch looks like it added a few features like music being played the only improvement i would like to see is the lock ups disappearing it never happen really before 1.8 :(

Nope if you have the last tier of the infil it allows you to melee without loosing your disguise, but from what ive seen players bots are shooting disguised infiltraitors now, which shouldnt be happening.
 
what i got from last nights games was the marksman has been lightened up a bit on there cloak im finding it easier to spot them even if they run off now .
The only time we got beat was by a team full of them me and richardtron stayed on and faced 6 marksmen with machine pistols guarding mwlar on operations it was a right PITA :(

good games last night considering we spent most of our time on stahl arms which i seem to forget everyone done there job and we won convincingly 6-1 or 5-2 .

had some brilliant games last night and wookiee is back to his old antics ripping into the yanks like usual:p:D
hopefully we can muster up some of the old clan members over the weekend and get more peeps to join the regular few that are on most nights , i have recruited a few more people from 8/10 clan due to them not playing kz3 now.
there is a new map pack out soon called from the ashes but there is no ETA at the moment i am just hoping they can fix the freezing issues before anymore dlc .

It's two guerilla warfare maps and two warzone maps. Available on 22nd June for £3.99.

sweet thats good news got some psn vouchers the other day to renew my ps+ wondered what i was going to do with the rest now i know :D

Had some good games tonight only 4 of us but had a good go on stahl arms we were 6 against 8 but we lost 5-2 shame the other players left for uneven teams ,hopefully more of us tomorrow oh and we kicked some helgan butt on mwlar operations the last game of the night :)
 
How much better (or worse) is KZ3 multiplayer compared to KZ2? I never got into KZ2 MP as I couldn't work it out but as I know KZ3, out of curiosity I have KZ2 coming on rental to see if I can work it out second time around.
 
killzone 2 played differently to number 3 due to it having squad spawn the medics having health packs and auto assault rifles .
basically you could just spawn of the squad leader wherever he was situated and go from there as you know 3 has your squad going for tactical spawn points situated on the map instead .
Find you can get base camped on kz3 a lot due to the spawn system thats why i prefer to play in a group least we can hold the TSA,s and go win some rounds , also a big difference is there was more input lag on the 2nd :(

Ooh, this is pretty cool actually. Only two years too late to the party. Just trying out the classes on skirmish/botzone. So I see there is no autoheal, you have to rely on health packs. I think I prefer that actually. I would have hoped that would mean more people play as medics.

And it seems you can mix and match classes, have one skill from one class and another from another. Anyroad. Enough babbling. Back to KZ3 talk before I get told off.

killzone 2 was good but now i have been on killzone 3 the input lag is really noticeable to me but like you said the medic had a better gun and med packs which i found really helpful .

tomorrow the new map pack is out it has 4 maps here is something to look forward to
