Killzone 3 Stage Demo (14 minutes awesomeness)

Don't want to watch it all for fear of spoilers, but it's shaping up to be another cracking game :D just hope they don't compromise the graphics too much for the sake of 3D...

It looks like they've very welcomingly upped the game play aspect over KZ2, which apart from being graphically awesome, was a little devoid in everything else, well that is largely because of the overload of FPS's this/last year..

I think I may pre-order this when the time comes, it certainly looks much more like it!

Sadly, I don't think I'll have the time to Platinum and 100% this game as I did with KZ2... lousy jobs and suchlike sucking up all my time :p

As always, graphics are absolutely fantastic. I'm gobsmacked by the water in particular. Really generic & samey 'shoot the building which is really a giant explosive barrel and it explodes' elements though. The jetpack section more than makes up for that, it looks unique and different to implementations seen in other games.

That looks great, looking forward to it. Jet packs in MP would be brill skills, they don't look invincible so shouldn't be too much of an advantage, nice.

Liking the melee attacking of stabbing Helgast in the face.

Never finished KZ2. Liked the look of it and everything, but the controls... Absolutely hated the feel of them to the point of abandoning the game.

Have you tried it since the updates? They made the controls more conventional.

I tried the demo again last night and not only finished it actually quite enjoyed myself. My only complaint was the handling never felt quite right.

So based on this and your recommendation I've ordered it.

This makes me feel like I should try the infamous demo again as I'm basing my less than positive opinion on a 10 minute play on my mates PS3 a year ago.

The beginning of Infamous is nothing compared to the later levels, you don't get anything other than the most basic powers. Even the demo lacks some of the coolest stuff.

Infamous was good but repetative as hell nearer the end. Got fed up and stopped playing before compeleting. Might try picking up KZ2, only played a quick demo and wasn't that impressed.

Ok. On chapter 3 and I'm quite enjoying it though it feels cramped and the controls are no different to the demo imo.
My worry is it feels quite derivative and bland. Cramped corridors, battle room to battle room and dare I say a little boring. Does it open up at all? Bigger areas? A bit of colour?

Also why do I feel I'm crouching all the time?
