Kindle Issues

Hey every one.
My kindle's been stuck like this for a couple of weeks and I have no idea what to do to get it back to normal.
I've tried plugging it in, leaving it to see if it would fix itself and holding the power button for an extended period.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Looking online, seems like you have tried all the usual steps.

Have you contacted Amazon, they have really good support so maybe able to try other things?

Not sure what gen Kindle that is, but if you scroll down to step 3 of 3 here: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-a-Kindle there are a bunch of different instructions on performing a hard reset. Worth a shot.
