Kinect and Move - Revisited

is this video taking the urine?

Nope.. Joyride does have some slight auto-steering, but as luck would have it, on the demo of the game, that track works out that you take the 'hidden' shortcut if you just hold the wheel straight. I noticed that my 4 year old was just messing around yet somehow managed to keep finishing the game (albeit last by some margin)..

The game is pretty pap, I paid £21 for it, and it's quite shallow, some of the stunt stuff is a laugh, but the racing is majorly arcade, perfect for playing with a sub 10 year old, but GT5 hasn't got anything to worry about.. :)

well i didnt think the guy was moving at all and was just proving the point of no matter what you did, the game just auto drives itself.
it wasnt what i was expecting from a motion detecting device anyways lol :p

Eurogamer slammed it for that reason on their podcast.

I have Kinect, and live in a flat, not a large flat by any means, but i have no problem with space, and i think games will come out that arent aimed specifically at the casual gamer, its early days for this tech at the mo, but i think it has fantastic pontential, and with updates etc, will only get better, people are always sceptical when a new piece of kit comes out.
Oh i have the move as well:)

unless your just using waggle or games where you dont have to move, then Kinect uses no more space than Wii or Move, so if you can use them. you should be ok with Kinect.

as for eurogamer... really?

Nothing wrong with Eurogamer. Their opinions and mine tend to coincide, so they're a good source of reviews for me. YMMV, but then that's why we have so many different gaming sites.
