Great post for me this. I'm wondering if you bothered to cool the small device at the bottom of the card (vrm?) just below the bottom rhs memory chip? It has a thermal pad on it with the red plate installed, but the EK block (which is for the Classy card, I know ) doesn't cool it. Have you bothered to "pad it up" as it were with some interface cooler / metal insert, or just left it like the end of card vrms?

I asked you pretty much the same thing in the previous page lol. I haven't done anything yet but they can get pretty hot real quick at least with the regular classified if you up the PWM frequency using evBot/Classy tool. I have 4 fans blowing across the HDD cages in push/pull (if you can call it that) straight at those chips but that may not be enough. I just ordered an IR thermometer so I can see what the temps are like and see if I need to add in anything.

Some of them seem to be doing 1.5ghz on water.

Good for most things apart from valley I would expect.

Ya both of mine are extreme versions of the KPE - ridiculous cores and terrible memory. I got 1528 core on both cards being able complete a run on some benches but no more than +300 effective memory (Noth both at the same time) even on the looser timings bios. I may flash to the tighter timings bios and check.

I know this is not how the cards are advertised but ppl may be interested in the following.............

Got my two in SLI under water.......not, repeat not, frozen or chilled. Applied the latest bios from Skyn3t on the LN2 setting (which gives an ID mismatch but I applied it anyway, as posted as ok to do on ocn).

Quick 3D11 run using PrecX to o/c the cards............ +420 core / +180 mem (yep, with loose timings applied by the bios).

Kept my 3960x on my RIVE at 5.3 for the run and got a reasonable score of 27980......not world beating anyway.

Any higher on the mem and it's kaleidoscope city on the display.....

I might just be unlucky with the mem, others are getting +450 and up.

I haven't tried the cards separately yet either so.............
