kingston SSD

Cant complain about mine.

Shuttle SP35P2
Intel Core2 Q6600
8Gb Kingston PC6400
2x 64Gb Kingstons.

Games and programs open so much faster, considering i didnt reinstall. I used clonezilla to port my old 160Gb drive to the SSD. I didnt really carry out any in-depth tests to see the improvement, but windows 7 loads up about 10-15secs faster. Games launch 2-3 times faster.

Given the size of the shuttles case, an interesting side effect from taking out 2 seagate 160Gb drives, is the overall temps dropping nearly 6c on average.

What are peoples thoughts on the Kingston SSD Now V100? Thinking of getting the 96gig one which is currently £110 with a transfer kit included.

Also, clone my existing install or do fresh?

Yes the Intel SSD's are good and very reliable. The OCZ Vertex 2E does not have the firmware issue that the Vertex 3 and Corsair drives have. I have a 90GB Vertex 2E Bigfoot and love it. Very fast
