Hi -

I currently have a 75GB 10,000rpm raptor. I assume that having an SSD will make my whole system feel much snappier and boot faster. I am not looking for THE fastest drive on the planet - cost is a concern. The Kingston SSDNow V Series looks great - but I'm worried that I could not find any 'wiper' or trim type software for it. Does anyone know if something is out there to keep the drive fresh and performing well?

Cheers,
Dub

i read reviews that confirm that Kingston have worked with JMicron and developed their own customer firmware. They have eliminated the stuttering issues according to the review. This leaves the drives being very fast but not quite as fast as the best SSD's. However, they are half the cost of those other SSD's.
