hi,

Delivered yesterday. Set AHCI on MB Gigabyte P55M-UD2, Installed WIN7 x64 (default drivers), few apps. Pagefile on it. 35% free.

Whats up with 4K and access times? Its the poorest I've seen on this site!

Hi there

OcUK does not sell the Kingston drives mainly for such reasons, they seem to have big performane issues when compared to OCZ, Corsair, Crucial and Intel.

Yes the Kingstons can be good value, but I'd rather pay more for guaranteed high levels of performance. If enough of you want Kingston we may consider selling it but to be honest Kingston are outperformed at the moment by a considerable amount.

You sold them not that long ago ?

Well, I've been saying it a number of times. Some things are cheap for a reason. The best is always never cheap.:D

I know they are cheap. I should have got a C300 going by AS benchtest thread. But Kingston £80 and C300 £125.

Its to tide me over until 256Gb come down in price. Reviews of Kingstons Gen 2 are not that bad. Real world, Win7 boots in <15 secs and Photoshop is instant. I'm hoping ARMA2 OA (in post) will benefit.

PS this is the only piece of kit i have not bought from OCUK for last two PCs. Spend over £1000 this year.

Thx
G
