Anyone know any good, simple free software that would let me try and design a kitchen?

Googled a few but I seem to be incapable of putting what I want in places and correctly.

I haven't used it myself so cannot comment but I noticed Wren, have a kitchen planner on their website

The one on DIY Kitchen is ok. I used it and it worked out pretty good once you get used to it.

I have been on there but this only gives you a picture of a kitchen and then put there ranges on it.

I need to actually layout a plan

Scaled paper and a pencil.

Doing this way to sort my new bathroom layout - easier than anything I could find online

I used this app https://www.roomsketcher.com/ to get some ideas for an extension, you can then once created a room put in furniture, it seems to have a good range of items, but you can adjust the size of them as well

NanoCAD is a great free CAD programme.
If you've used any sort of CAD programme before it'll be easy to get used to but tbh it's pretty straight forward no matter what.

sketchup, there should be plenty of 3d models you can import from their 3D warehouse

you should be able to switch between 3D and Plan view

The DIY kitchens one was better I found but if it's down try Magnet. It's glitchy as hell for me but works in the end.
