Kittens

I would get two, no doubt. Good company for each other - especially if they are related. It's what I have and I have had a few cats in the past. The two I have at the moment are awesome. Love people but also get along!

The difference in price for 2 for day to day stuff like food is not a great deal. Of course it doubles the vet bills but so far it hasn't been anything beyond the normal costs for us.

Sorry for double post.

Parents just dropped a lovely bomb shell that they now don't want to go :/

And they won't phone the lady to tell her -.- trying to leave it down to me and now they are blaming it on our dog (who's 17) :/

I would go for 2 aswell so they always have company if you are not around.

edit : sorry to hear that mate hope you get some kittens soon.

Lol. Does your family not talk? Your mum wanted one a week ago and didn't tell her husband? Weird...

Yeah, Dad knew me and mum wanted one ages ago, she phone the lady up today when my dad was at work so he didn't know.

But doesn't matter now as we aren't getting one :(

:( - though didn't notice you have a 17yo dog in the equation. Though so old it prob wont care it is always better to have the cat in place and higher up the food chain before getting a dog if you want them to live happily together.

I think you all really need to sit down and talk about it properly rather than one or more of you going off on an impulse buy. If your dad don't want one then your not getting one until you move out, you you get your mum to 'persuade' him otherwise, but you dont want that going on while your living at home ether :p

I think they would live together happily as we used to have a Cat years ago and they got on fine, I think it's just my mum and dad trying to find excuses

My Dad was up for it and then suddenly changed his mind :/

Is that final and no chance of persuading them?

Unlucky mate, Maybe they will change there mind again? :(

They keep going "If we find a Kitten we will get one" but that's just a load of lies :/ Can't find any in my local area either so can't persuade them on that :(

I had to cover their back again and send the lady a message to say sorry
I feel really sorry for the lady my Mum spoke to as we were meant to go to the lady's house around 7 ish but my Mum wouldn't phone her back and stay we couldn't go :/

i really want a new kitten, but worried my current cat (12 years old) wont get along with him/her.

I hate the thought of kittens going to bad homes, they're so CUTE!

I love cats so much!!! :D
