Had it less than 4 months. My wife and I were both working from home today when the connection drops. Hub starts flashing purple. Reboots do nothing.

Had the old HH laying around (with separate modem), so connected that all up and instant connection.

How do I get the Smart Hub replaced? Or is there something much better I should just buy?

Many Thanks.

You get it replaced by contacting whoever supplied it and having a moan.

Worth doing even if you decide to replace it. They do have a value, especially if new and sealed.

No point buying something 'better' unless it wasn't meeting your needs prior to the failure.

Pretty useless reply, why did you bother?

I was looking for exact contact details - this can't be the first Smart Hub to die, so where or how have other OCUK members replaced theirs? Have BT set up a specific number/e-mail to deal with returns? You know - useful info like that.

You asked a stupid question, you got a stupid answer.

You didn't state where the Smart Hub came from. It could have been direct from BT supplied with the broadband connection, or it could have been purchased via retail channels.

If it came from BT the contact details aren't exactly difficult to find. They'll be your ISP and you must know how to contact them.

There was nothing wrong with the question so don't be a douche. If you can't give the information needed then just STFU.

If it was from BT when you took out the BB then it is obviously with them you need to talk to or leave a ticket on their forums, both of you should just calm down though as the OP wasn't that well wrote but didn't require a response like that. Are you interested in buying something better or was it decent enough when you had it working as intended? If it worked well enough originally just get it replaced by BT if not then get something aftermarket.

Look on the BT website, that's where you'll find "useful info like that".

I don't get people who ask silly questions asking for contact information for places. See it on forums and Facebook etc. You clearly have Internet access to post so google BT customer service number.

Anyway, if the hub was provided by BT, contact them. If it was bought from a retailer, contact them.
