Knitting.

Unfortunately I was born with a horrible disfigurement that means I can never knit.

They're called testicles.

My girlfriend is half way through knitting me a pillowcase:cool:

I on the other hand prefer cross stitch and do that a little. Although I need to improve n some things:p

Knitting is pointless.
The amount of money you spend on yarn will end up costing more than buying from a shop. Yeah, it may have more meaning to it, but it just won't look as good as a shop bought item (unless you're a pro at knitting). It is also very time consuming and frustrating if you don't get it right.

Knitted pillowcase?.....would that not be rough on your face?

I don't know, I've never slept on one:rolleyes:

It was meant to be a scarf but it's been made a bit big for that now. Either way it feels soft enough:p. Can't be anymore rough than the hair on my face I need to shave off:(

Yeah what's the point in learning a skill when kids can do it for 1p a day in Sweatshop.

Knitting is a useful skill as is sewing, I am 28 and can do both at a fashion, not great but can muster something decent, kids these days, don't know jack ****

Basic home economic skills are long gone, learnt everything off my mum and grandmothers. Sad but maybe when WW3 kicks off I have some useful skills ;)

I can knit and sew as well but still, I think knitting is pointless these days. Sewing is useful though.

My mum knits, a lot. She started to give up smoking when she found out she was preggers with my oldest brother. She picked it up very quickly. Once you learn the basics of it, it's pretty easy to start making stuff as long as you stick to a pattern.

I want to knit. Only so I can make my future babies wear ridiculous hat/gloves/scarf combos, like my mother did.

My mother can Knit in her sleep and each and every day she it's Knitting for the local charity shops from bed socks to baby jumpers plus she does toys for the Royal Marsden
