Knocking from the front, 03 Ford Focus

Had a knocking from the front for a bit now it's winding me up. So today I replaced the drop links as this was advised it could be the cause and no such luck, it's still knocking what ever it is.

Anyone ideas or had this issue before?

Anti roll bar bushes? Can cause a knocking over bumps if worn. Cheap as well.

Finding knocks on old cars can be tricky because everything can be a bit worn.

You have changed the ARB links so what else might be the problem?

Well, there are bearings on the top of the front suspension struts. They can wear. Jack up the front wheels and see if you can get vertical movement on the suspension struts.

While you are at it, check to see if you can get any movement on any of the other ball joints.

I'd go around and check everything is torqued up first.

ARB is drop links.

Going to stick it up on a ramp and see what can be seen and found with a long bar to make stuff move.

It's inly got 55k on the clock

What do you mean arb is drop links. I was talking about the rubber bushes.

If it's a vuxhall then there will be up down movement in the strut apparently this is not an mot fail
