No worries. Some people like Media Player Classic also but I don't tend to use it (simply because VLC works for the vast majority of things I throw at it)

VLC has worked fine for me as well, not had one problem with it so far

VLC is my preferred option. I did try MPC with the ffdshow plugin but VLC worked better for me.
