hi , i bought one of you MSI 670 gtx power editions last week, it arrived dead on arrival, does not get a signal,(using dvi) which i was not happy about, i have found numerous posts about dvi socket not working as it should , am begining to think the reason they had a mass clear out was due to this Known issue, anyone from overclockers care to explain this?

I highly doubt MSI got rid of those cards for 'cheap' because part of it was faulty, as there would be a hell of a lot of returns and would be a waste of time surely.

Just RMA the card, and get a new one or a refund.

If we had a batch faulty, we would just send them back to the manufacturer.

If you have a faulty product, contact us and we will replace or refund.

For your first post that wasn't a very nice welcome. is your mobo bios up to date? If it is then it might be a faulty card. All you have to do is either post your issue in the customer section or give OCUK a call and they'll sort you out. No need for explaining

1+

Most Motherboards need a Bios update for the 6 series Nvidia and 7 series AMD cards.

i cant get into bios due to no signal from gtx, the new board i have is MSI G43 Intel Z87, is there a reason why theres a fault with the DVI socket as others have had same issue upon reading. yet it works fine with HDMI port (dont want to buy a new Hdmi cable incase it doesnt work and theres a known fix first) for dvi problem

i dont have a Hdmi cable yet, as it be a waste of money if the card is faulty, hence why i,m asking is there a fix for the known DVI issue others and myself have had

tbh I haven't heard of any issue's with the dvi port on those cards? I think you should try another dvi cable before jumping to conclusions.

How you know it works fine with HDMI???

Have you tried using the On-board display to download and update the Bios if an update is available.

Manufacturers simply don't do what you are saying, they'd very quickly tarnish their reputation so bad, no one would touch them again.

If what you suggest is true, then Asus and KFA2 must also be doing the same.

The stock is cheap because the manufacturers need it gone, I gave them an offer they could not refuse price/quantity wise to remove their stock problems.

This is why OcUK is the no.1 in graphics because OcUK was the first to offer 670's sub £200 and the chain of events is that we've now caused more or less a world wide price move down as other manufacturers have seen our amazing deals and have now taken action to dump their stock by slashing pricing.

Just remember it was OcUK who kick started all this and was first! :D

The minor issue I've encountered with the majority of the Twin Frozr cards is a heatsink support bracket stopping my Lian Li Tooless PCI clamps working. You need to revert back to thumb screws for all slots.

From what I've seen MSI cards have excellent build quality and I doubt there is an issue with the clearance cards, just a one off but certainly annoying. I'm certain it will be resolved quickly by OCUK.

The only DVI issue I've seen is where two displays are connected and the port selection prioritises the HDMI over one of the DVI ports. If the HDMI is connected to a TV then this is where the bios is displayed.

Hexus annoyingly presented their sponsored retailer dropping the price on the 670s as a top 'news' item on Friday with no mention of ocuk doing it first, or any reference to anybody else dropping prices. Really diminishes their credibility.

+1

Reminds me of a time where my previous employer kept receiving obvious seconds from the retailer in question. Opened Hard Disks, Scratched Cases, Damaged boxes. etc. Returns were faultless but very annoying as if it was less likely to be noticed by a small business.

Never had anything like this happen here and I really like the extensive use of bubble wrap to protect our expensive purchases + the haribo :)

I have been trying all day, but there is not much more I can do. I can't even see bios if I boot to it. So back to my old 7850.

I have RMA it, but have made the mistake of asking for a replacement. If it's some incompatibility with my motherboard I am going to be left with more expense and a useless card. I really should have asked for a refund.

Darn, this is a bad day. I should have stayed in bed.
glad to see i,m not the only one with the problem with this issue, with this batch,
