Kobo Touch - Fuzzy text close up

Recently I got a Kobo Touch. When looking close to the screen, the text doesn't seem perfectly clear/crisp. It is every so slightly fuzzy/hazy/blurry/pixelated.

It's not as noticeable at my normal reading distance however sometimes I can pick it out.

Am I wrong to assume the text on an ereader should be perfectly crisp?

Just checked my kindle and its perfectly crisp, even on large fonts. Is it still noticeable on a smaller font?

I notice it on a smaller font just as much. Could it just be the limit of the actual resolution of the screen though? I'd say it looks every so slightly hazy and maybe a bit pixelated, but as said it's only really more noticeable close up and under a bright light.

Does decreasing the interval between full screen refreshes help at all?
