Kodak set to quit camera film and photo paper business

Asi said some time back, real shame but in the end they only themselves to blame for not leveraging their digital technologies. They could have been a lead supplier of digital sensor and sown up the P&S market.

Not if it ends up like Rambus though. All this fighting by US companies like Apple and Google over mobile patents is starting to get to that level now and it seems more and more like *** for tat. In the case of Rambus, the patent office eventually invalidated some of their top patents.

Was bound to happen. Whilst there are still people out there that use film, the rise of digital cameras and home printed seems to have overtaken Kodak.

I've never forgiven them for discontinuing Kodachrome

Looks like Fuji and Ilford will benefit from increased sales of film.

Fuji are discontinuing films on a regular basis...

Kodak is hardy an angel, remember when they tried to sue Sun for $1billion over the flakiest of IP claims and shady purchasing of IP seemingly to profit purely from litigation.

I am less worried about what Kodak did then and what these patents will do now, looking at how the current patents wars are escalating.
