Korean GP Worries

I say North and South Korea should put there differences aside and let North Korea build the track, it would be done and running by next week :p :p and if it isnt then RIP builders and contracters.

I've seen the Koreans resurface 2 miles of road over night, 4 lanes worth.
That said it's not looking good.
Hopefully they've got the top coat down by now or they're cutting it awfully close. Could be an "interesting" race if everything is finished but the tarmac is leaching oils onto the surface.

How the hell did they tip that crane? No load on it but no counter balance either? somebody just extend the boom without setting up properly?
The jib looks to be raised by 35 degrees in the pics so I wonder if he did have a load and we just can't see it as it went crashing through the stand.

We are know that the clip above is not true to life Mark66... I mean come on? We've seen Mark and Sebastian try racing each other like that and one of them ends up DNF :p

from BBC's own website - anyone else heard about this? (I was just checking the time of the race as I have to go to My grandmother's 95th bday lunch on race day (nr Swindon of all places)

(the race, as you would expect , seems to be available - but no quali !!! Surely not something to do with local broadcaster?)

You've just posted that the qualli will be on Saturday between 5 and 7.30 am?

Its pretty obvious he meant to point out the "Not available on freeview part", i hope it just means the audio options.

Edit:

Yeongam, 22-24 October
Friday 22 October
Practice one: 0155-0335, BBC Red Button/online
Practice two: 0555-0735, BBC Red Button/online
Saturday 23 October
Practice three: 0255-0405, BBC Red Button/online
Qualifying: 0500-0730, BBC One/online and BBC Radio 5 live sport extra/online
Qualifying re-run: 1300-1415, BBC One
Sunday 24 October
Race: 0600-0915, BBC One/online and BBC Radio 5 live/online
Race re-run: 1300-1515, BBC One

So the Qualy is on BBC1, it must have been talking about the red button options.

I DID mean to highlight that as it reads quali isnt available on freeview (the placing of the full stop to me indicates the whole thing isnt available not just the audio options)

as initial post should show - I was highly surprised, but being Korea, it could have been possible

Glad the bbc seem to have typo'd an error:)

That long straight could be interesting if McLaren get the new blown wing working. There look to be sections prime for RB and for McLaren so it could be a good race.

Sector 1 should be ok for McLaren as its straights and slow corners. I expect Red Bull to be crazy strong in Sector 2 though.
