i am just bout to play through these again (finished 1 but got stuck on 2 and gave up lol) and just wondered if anyone knew of any mods that are good to use not for changing the story but maybe graphics mods for textures or models or anytihng really.

not that i know of, and let me guess, you got stuck on the place where there is a random crach in the middle of this city that has those fish dudes walking around?

always got stuck on investigateing that crash and gave up and reverted back to the 1st one, such brilliant yet simple games.

ags

naa i dont remember anything about fish dudes lol

if i remember correctly, you have to spilt your party up, half go to sort something and you take the other half off and end up having to take out 3 dark jedis. sadly the only save i had was after the group split and my characters were no where near strong enough to beat them. wont make that mistake again lol.

for me the strength of the games was the great story and the fact that it had nothing to do with the films. everything was new, you didnt know who the bad guy was etc etc. the twist in the original was brilliant as well.

Had a look for something like this a while ago, couldn't find any graphical enhancements unfortunately. You could get a few item / character mods, but that seemed to be all.

I found playing the first KOTOR then right after the second makes both games seem better. Especially the second.

There is a sea world in kotor 1 called manan or somit i think. That has the "fish dudes" in.

About mods. Their is a kotor 2 mod that is almost finished actually and its very professional and the aim was to restore all the cut content.

Their is also a mod that restores the fabled droid planet level. Well erm after just checking it seems it was killed off that mod. Ah well.

I played them in order, one after the other and found it a great experience. Both games are awsome, my only problem was that the second one seemed to just end very abruptly. The last battle was far too easy and the ending was no different depending on alignment. At least with the first one it was nice to see different endings. Second one was a great story and a much better game except the crappy ending

i got the firs tone reinstalld tonght but then had to leave for work, looking forward to playing it again. as i said before i loved the story and the fact that it had nothing to do with the starwars we know.

I hope:

1) Like everyone else, the next installment doesn't come out until it's finished.
2) There is at least some choice/player influence in this one. Although the story was very strong and tied everything together, I remember one part where a Sith Lord or something (it was 2 years ago!) offers me a place at his side, and my choices are:

A) No.
B) No.
C) No.

Why did they even give me three choices? LOL! The same when Mr. Han Solo Clone Whatshisface goes to the bar to beat the guy at the card game and you have no choice but to fight those two twi'leks....then if he dies you have to reload....what if my character doesn't like the guy?

Maybe I've forgotten some great thing he does later in the game but the lack of choice in those situations was still pretty infuriating.

Great game though....especially the dialogue. Although, at some points it felt like you had no choice in anything. I think the only thing you could really affect was how long you took to complete the game.

lol i think the reason it gave you three no's is dependant upon your orientation to light/dark, if you are fully dark you'd of been offered a "yes" option, sounds like you were heading toward the light side in that particular game?

Well it was that chick with the towel on her head, not my main character (who was so "dark side" he looked like he'd been lying dead in the sun for a week) who got the offer, and she was fully dark with the bonus and everything, so no.

I thought that was one of the best bits of KOTOR2, as it forces use to use more characters. In KOTOR, as good as the game is, I did find myself tending to rather neglect some characters once my party had reached a decent size. I loved being able to make use of some of my non-jedi characters like Mandalore, Handmaiden, Wookie etc.

Anyway here's a tip - make sure before splitting your party up that you unequip all your decent items (best weapons, shields etc) and then the first group you are using can equip them. Then, assuming you are saving regularly you should be able to time it right so that you can unequip all the good items just before 'finishing' that little section of the game. This means that when you switch to the other half of your party, they can use all the best kit too.

One of the saves on my xbox version of 1 got totally borked. On the last world (before the big space station) I landed, only to find loads of wierd glitches. Like those wierd guys with the swords wouldn't be triggered by me walking up to them. Just stayed still looking at me. Then back on the hawk a load of characters would be spawned randomly, like those enemies etc. Real odd. Had to go back a few saves obviously :)

Really, really good games.

This gizka thing looks immense, thanks! :D
