KOTOR MMO in partnership with Lucas, coming out of BioWare

I think a KOTOR based MMO made by Bioware would be great.

You've got a license guaranteed to generate excitement and attention (Star Wars) and an acclaimed and experienced RPG Developer in Bioware. I think the result will be a lot stronger than SWG. (Not that that will be difficult).

Its going to be interesting how the MMOs pan out, EA will have Warhammer (Fantasy) and KOTOR (Sci Fi) genre MMO's; and Activision Blizzard will have WoW (Fantasy) and maybe a Starcraft MMO to fit in the Sci Fi MMO genre.

Blizzard and Bioware are my favorite game developers (BG2 4 Life!) so it will be cool seeing them go head to head.
 
It could be an online MMO component like what NWN2 had though, rather than a full-blown SWG killer.

For example, store a character online in central servers then play through the game co-op mode with others for achievements.

Well you can see it in the management meeting now, "How can we make lots of money?"
"World Of Warcraft sir makes £££$$$$ and has 10 million subscribers paying £9 a month"
"OK lets go for one of those"
"Sir what about all the other mmos that thought they could make $$$£££££ but flopped"
"Shut up"
 
Disappointed they decided to make an KOTRO MMO rather than a single-player game, but it will be interesting to see BioWare's attempt none the less.
 
whilst a nice new star wars mmo would be nice, you do have to think about what lucas arts did to the last one they had, a move that hurst nearly all former players of the former great title

then you throw EA into the mix...this isnt looking good is it

it will either be very good or terrible, and with whats in front of me, im leaning towards terrible


a proper KOTORIII would have been nicer and of a style bioware are very good at
