Can't believe someone thought Popcorn was by Kraftwerk! sacriledge :D

Kraftwerk are one of the most influential and sampled bands ever...they have influenced many artists across many genres and are one of my fav all time bands.

The huge live tour they did in 2005/2005 had only two of the original classic line up (1975-1991)....the core founders Ralf and Florian. The band sort of disappeared / broke up after 'The Mix' (1991) and didn't release a new album until 2003. These five classic albums should be the ones to get (for a start)

Autobahn - the album everyone knows

Trans Europe Express - Europe Endless is amazing....probably their finest album

The Man Machine - Space and Futurism...The Model was released in 1978 but took a good few years to become UK #1

Computer World - way ahead of its time

Electric Cafe - last proper album, albiet not the strongest

Btw I'm only 27 and never got to see them live in their heyday...I first heard Radio-Activity 20 years ago :o and yes I'm also a Jean Michel Jarre fan although he has a 'classical composer' approach to electronic music as opposed to Kraftwerk's 'we are sound technicians'

Tour de France is one of the best imo.
But a must buy at the moment is their live best of. Minimum Maximum.

Only album i have by Kraftwerk, can't see me needing to buy any of the studio albums as it's an awesome collection. :)

My exact thoughts, i'd love to see them live, unfortunatly I cant see it happening in the near future.
