The word is that he's gearing up to retire, which is what prompted the rumours of sony being ready to talk about selling spider-man back to marvel. i don't see it personally, but if offered enough money...
 
Not the worst film I've watched from the Sony universe, you know what your getting when he bites someone's nose off and spits it at the next guy.

Russell Crowe's accent was all over the place.
