I just thought i'd give this Newlink NLKVMP2PC a try since it supposed to have a maximum resolution of up to "Advanced video enhancement technology for crisp clear VGA quality up to 1920 x 1440 with DDC2B"

But when i'm on my computer, resolution of 1680*1050 its like only showing half the screen and you can scroll around it sort of thing.

Any idea why?

"scroll around it" ?
I've only seen that on a Dell with an incorrect video driver

The KVM is only passing on video, I can't see it resizing the screen

Plug the monitor directly into the PC, what do you get ?

.

It's fine without it..

Its pretty normal.

Ive tried it on CCC 6.12 and 7.1 same, nothing changed.

What I mean by 'scrolling' is like it'll show half the screen, then when your cursor gets to bottom it'll like move down the screen if you get what I mean, like you're scrolling a website.

Well.. in the end I bought a newish KVM from a auction site. A Belkin 2-Port KVM Switch with Built-In Cabling F1DK102P, and it seems fine.

I guess the other one didn't actually support it like it supposed to. :o

But a question, can KVM result in any qualtiy or picture loss ?
