Ah, I devided to grab myself another KVM. Not had one for a very long time, not really needed one till now.
I got a little PC next to my main PC and I have been piddling about with it.
I use VGA on that, and DVI on my main PC, and so I can simply select the input from DVI/VGA, and I sue a Wireless keyboard & Mouse setup and so, when I play with the little PC, I just get them out, flick the switch and away I go, and its been ok, but a bit of a chore, and so KVM it is.
I bought one and it was a VGA job, I thought ah well, never mind, but the thing is, that my meeceses simply dont want to work with it? - It even said on the box that it was compatible with Mutifunction mice and it quite honestly is not.
The key combinations didnto work either, so, after far too long, I simply gave up and got my money back.
Now, I just bought myself a very similar model, however, this one was DVI and thats cool, but also the selector was a little remote clicker... Sweet as pie I thought, and sure enough, it works and I can select between either compuyter at will.
However, the mouse issue is still there.
I have tried a handful of mice and NONE of my good mice work. I am currently usign a Microsoft WebScroll Eye and thats about as basic as they come, Im just thankful its a fairly good mouse, but if I try anything even remotely half decent, not only does the mouse fail to work, but the keyboard acts up, like crazy and its constantly making the USB disconnect/ connect sound... Oh, and abotu my keyboard... That does work as I said, however, its a Logiteck G510 and the drivers dont seem to want to recognise it anymore... The display now shows the G510 only, and the macro keys no longer work... I dont exp[ect them to work on the ssecond PC, but I would have hoped that they worked on the PC that has the drivers in it.
So, it seems to me, that these KVMs are only actually designed for basic keyboards and basic mice, and not for anything half decent.
So, Iam wondering... Anyone care to recommend a KVM that will accept my keyboads and mice?
