Been a very long time since I used a KVM switch (VGA, PS/2 connections I think)

I've just got myself a 34" UW screen and want to use it connected to my work laptop but also my home PC. My laptop I am using display port cables in to a docking station and currently using laptop screen and a spare 22" dell. My Home PC is using a 24" Iiyama connected via HDMI

My laptop is currently using wired keyboard/mouse and home PC using wireless. I want to minimise cables so want to use the wireless keyb/mouse for both devices and onyl use the UW screen.

What do I need these days??

I wanted to suggest a software solution, its not for everyone but did work great when I had 3 PCs on my work desk. However I then saw you wanted to keep the same monitor and it won't help. Anyway for the sake of mentioning it.

Synergy keyboard/mouse sharing allows your to run server/client apps on each pc and move the mouse between them as if it was just another monitor in a multi monitor setup. But this doesn't really help with keeping the same monitor. There is still a free version.

Thanks ****. I've actually set it all up now and it's just as easy to change the port in use on the screen and move the wireless receiver between laptop and pc so no need for anything else, for now.
