he's starting off on the NES, snes, n64 etc then i'll work his way up to the PC (and completely bypassing the 360 and PS3!) so that he learns what real games are from the beginning so it might be a while before he gets to l4d! hehe

Good plan - though you should let him play the Pixel Junk games, Geometry Wars and Castle Crashers on the xbox360/ps3. They're about the only decent games on them

True, but you can only get the sequel on console (sadly) and it's much better than the original.

Will probs sort a game for some time next week. The server cycles through the campaigns now and will play with bots only (though it doesn't like bots only as survivors in the new port map, sees them as one player). Try it out at some point.
