Hey guys,

Wondering if L4D 2 is really worth getting? Shame they didn't just bring it out with the original game.

Well its impossible to say, its not out til november. It is a shame, but as valve cannot slip forward and back in time just to save us money ill guess we'll have to deal. :P

It depends on price. If its £30 then I'm not so sure. It doesn't look that different to L4D1 bar stupid editions like a frying pan . Not only that i think its a really bad decision to have it set in daylight, i really hate how RE5 is set in daylight as well.

I think it'll be a game i wait to go down in price before buying.

L4D was the biggest waste of £35 ever. 4 campaigns... great. I'm sure they added more content but it was long after I decided it was £10 of entertainment for 3 times the price.

I'm quite surprised anyone bought this for anything but multiplayer. The reason L4D ended up being a waste of money for me was not having mates committed to learning curve. I suppose I had a commitment issue myself, I could have got in some decent VS games with the guys from the forums here, but we bought it to play together and it just never happened.

I'll definitely be getting L4D2 on the cheap, if it all.

Agreed. I bought it when it came out and played it for about a week then got bored. Recently got back into it with the OcUK VS servers though. It can be fun if you have 15 mins to spare.

L4D1 was great because of the OCUK chappies here playing it in their droves. Most people were good and they worked hard as teams.

Left4Dead 2 looks better, so hopefully there will be the same amount of comminity spirit behind it.

One mission is set in daylight.

I think it looks quite good, depending on the price. The addition of dynamic weather that can hinder your progress if you continue forward, or force yourself to set up a perimeter and wait for it to pass is cool.

I know I am just feeding the troll but left 4 dead was about way more than the 4 campaigns, have you ever played vs mode, I have spent about 165 hours on left 4 dead so far and all for £22, not bad at all

thing is they built l4d maps for co op play! u can tell this by all the missing high roofs/textures and lack of access to some!
I hoping l4d2 is more focused on the versus side of the game.
