lacie hd power off help

hi

ive just got myself a lacie external hardrive , ive connected it all up and formated it.

what i would like to know is what is the correct way of powering it down? , as it does not have auto power off when the pc shuts down.

what i have been doing is turning my pc off and on first and then turning the lacie off or on.

Use the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray to disconnect it at an OS level then power it off. You can power it on at any time.
