Are you forgetting that for the price of a 7900GTX you could get an X1900XT-X and a Zalman VF900-CU with £25 in change, or an X1900XT a Zalman VF900-CU with £75 in change?

If you want to spend up to and beyond 25% extra for a card with the same speed, then that's fine.
